This painting was made by me after I visited an exhibition of Sam Dillemans, (my
drawing teacher at the academy in 1995-1996).  Here I also met my painting
professor, Fred Bervoets and after the exhibition we all went for a drink till
morning, here I took this picture of him which I used to make this painting.

Foetus

This is one of the paintings I exposed in Antwerp-expo November 2004 at ART-EVENT.
I've loved painting this subject, although it took a lot of time and energy,
because the painting reflected my own feelings of withdrawal at  that moment in my
life.  You can see this is the pose of a baby in the uterus or a foetus in the womb.
This is the reason I called it foetus, to refer to the intra- uterinary fazes we all
have to go trough before we are born.

my twenties, I saw the beauty of many African people.
