Not all the paintings are finished yet, I am still working on a few of them and I 'll expose them at the artfair "Art-Event" in Antwerp-Expo, which takes place each year in november, if they're not sold! I allways work on different paintings at the same time, because oil needs time to dry and I need to take distance of the painting after a few hours, so then I put the painting away and take another one to continue.

When I look at both my paintings in the timeline I hesitate whether I liked it more before, it's hard for me to take distance of my own paintings. My best friend is a painter to, and I allways give comments on his work. This is much easier for me than to judge my own work.

I adore cats, and they know it. They are mysterious and independent, and so beautiful!

I try out different methods of painting, I want to explore and search different ways of painting. In the back of my head, there's allways a voice telling me, if you need to explain how you made your painting, how would you tell it to the pupils. I should keep a book to write it all down, I 've started a few times doing it, but each time I start and then I forget to continue. But it's all in my mind anyhow, maybe one day I'll take time to write a book about it. In this website I allready explain a lot. But it takes so much time, and all the time I write, I cannot make a painting, that's the problem.

I want to make this beautiful woman in a expressionistic style with a lot of vibrating complemantary colors,  it' s a real challenge, because I must try to keep the colors in harmony. As I visit a lot of auctions I get inspired by classical artists. I study their work and here I try to make a very fine work with a lot of details, like the neckless and the flowers, not finished! When it's finished I'll put it for sale in an auction.

Throughout the ages, humans have been enchanted by pearls and the shells of the mollusks that produce them. As ancient trade routes gradually expanded and societies developed across Asia and Europe, pearls became important symbols of wealth, status and religious belief. Still a source of widespread fascination, pearls are now admired and worn by more people than ever before.
